Despite the cross-cutting nature of space technologies and the strategic importance of new space sector in the field of research, space sector patents are not as widespread as in other sectors. For this reason, during New Space Economy Europoforum Expoforum will take place a side event, organized by ASI(Italian Space Agency)and UIBM, entirely dedicated to intellectual property rights. Experts, consultants and IP Managers, will illustrate the best practices in the field of protection and management in order to strengthen and stimulate the development potential of the space ecosystem and to encourage the use of industrial property titles as a tool for enhancing innovation. The culture of patents is a tool to guarantee competitiveness on global markets, additional resources for research and development activities, collaborations and technology transfer initiatives.
